Earlier this month Dana Baker, Walton’s First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ church secretary, drove to Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Johnson City with medical equipment donations for Ukraine.
Donation included 20 walkers, 15 pairs of crutches, two rolling walkers, and 10 packages of adult underwear.
Sacred Heart has reported the third container of items has been sent to Ukraine, weighing 26,620 pounds. Donations came from all over the Southern Tier and continue to pour in, according to the Pastor Teodor Czabala.
The donation of medical equipment for Ukraine is one of many charitable projects the First Congregational Church, UCC, has participated in, Czabala said.
