Marty DeFilippo, age 97 of DeLancey, passed away peacefully at home on Aug. 21, 2022 with her children at her side.
Marty was the daughter of Joseph and Maria (Fauci) DeChairo, and was born Feb. 17, 1925 in Bayonne, N.J. She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore on April 16, 1998, her son Robert Aug. 8, 2020, her brothers Joseph and Andrew, her sisters Susie, Amelia, Julie and Francis.
She is survived by her daughter Coni and her husband Steve Lukac of DeLancey, her son Salvatore and his wife Rita of Toms River N.J., her daughter-in-law Lee DeFilippo (Bob) of Easton, Pa. She is also survived by her sister Lucy, grandchildren Austin, Tammy, Audrey, Derek, Tyler, Sara and Stephanie,
great-grandchildren Camryn and Kenley and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marty loved cooking and always fed the “whole crew“ and there were many. She loved her family deeply and provided for them whatever they needed. She loved her pizza and beer and her meatballs as did everyone else. She worked many years as a seamstress but her real passion was taking care of the many, many children of the family and friends.
