Notice is hereby given that the Annual Election of the Andes Joint Fire District will take place on December 12th, 2023 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 9:00p.m. at the Andes Fire Hall located at 5269 Tremperskill Road (Co Hwy 1), Andes, NY 13731, for the purpose of electing one (1) Fire Commissioner for a†five year term. All voters registered with the (County) Board of Elections†on or before November 20, 2023 and residents of Andes Fire District on or before November 12, 2023 shall be eligible to vote. INVITATION FOR BIDS
CONTRACT FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION TRANSPORTATION
The Walton Central School District is seeking to contract for additional special education routes.
A. Bids will be accepted from qualified, responsible bidders.
B. The bid shall be for all potential additional contractual runs that the district may require, and shall be in the form of a price schedule with the following format:
1. An 18 passenger van (or approximate equivalent) and driver, a 2 passenger van (or approximate equivalent) and driver, a sedan and driver, and a bus aide.
2. Prices for all of the above shall be given for a 2 hour trip, a 3 hr. trip, a 4 hr. trip, for excess hours above 4 hours, and for any lay overs.
C. The bid shall be for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. The District and vendor may agree to subsequent contract extensions.
D. Only bidders who have submitted a complete bidding packet shall be considered. A bidding packet may be obtained by contacting Meg Hungerford, School Business Manager, at 607-865-4116 ext. 6135, or by mail at 47-49 Stockton Avenue, Walton, New York, 13856, to request a bidding packet.
E. The Walton Central School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or the investigation made of, such bidder fails to satisfy the Board that such bidder is qualified to carry out the obligation of the contract.
No contract becomes binding until the Education Department approves the contract.
F. Bids shall be opened on Friday December 15, 2023 at 3 pm in the Walton Central School District Board of Education Room, OíNeill High School, 47-49 Stockton Avenue, Walton, New York, 13856.
Late bids will not be considered.

The environmental significance, if any, of the proposed local law may be reviewed incident to, and as a part of, said public hearing.
