Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or simply looking to explore the region’s scenic trails, the Susquehanna Chapter of the Adirondack Mountain Club invites residents and visitors alike to join a full calendar of guided hikes and events this July.
The club’s popular Tuesday morning hikes offer short, gentle walks through forests, parks, and nature preserves — ideal for those looking for a relaxed pace on rolling or flat terrain. New this season, Saturday hikes provide more challenging full-day excursions and require advance registration due to limited group sizes.

Chapter Meetings
The Susquehanna Chapter holds monthly meetings on the third Wednesday of each month. Summer meetings (June through August) are held outdoors at local parks and include a potluck supper at 6 p.m., followed by a program at 7 p.m. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass, personal tableware, and beverages. Meetings are open to the public.
Sustainability Focus
To reduce environmental impact, the chapter encourages carpooling to all outings and meetings, especially for members traveling from outside Oneonta.
