Joan Williams, 88, passed away on April 1, 2025, in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Joan is survived by her daughter Darlene Murphy and husband Ken of Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania, daughter Holly Clelland and husband Russ, of Cosby, Tennessee, daughter Dawn Radle and husband Dan, of Ridge, daughter Cindy Sorgenfrei and husband HansPeter, of East Northport, son David Williams, Upstate New York; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Joan is preceded in death by her beloved husband Gilbert Williams (2018), father Magnus “Mike” Skaar, mother Catherine “Katie McGee” Skaar, brothers Richard and Thomas Skaar, and a great-grandchild, baby Kevin Sorgenfrei.
The service for Joan will be held on Friday May 16, at Light of Christ Church of Jefferson Township, Pennsylvania at 11 a.m., with visitation beforehand from 10 – 11.
A dual interment of Joan and husband Gil’s ashes at Walton Cemetery in Walton, will take place Saturday, May 17 at 11 a.m., followed by a small family reception at the Rainbow Lodge.
