Jeffrey A. Ormiston, 70, passed away Saturday March 15, 2025, in Cooperstown.
He was born April 25, 1954, in Margaretville, the son of William St. John Ormiston and Irene Decker.
Jeffrey married Natalie Bode on Aug. 14, 1976 in Arkville.
Jeffrey dedicated his life to his construction business with his son, and enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and firewood.
His carpenter skills were well known throughout the Catskills. He is also known for his obsession with the Weather Channel.
Surviving are his three daughters, Melissa Ormiston (Jamie) of DeLancey, Alicia Ormiston (Bryant) of Grand Gorge, Dawn Lewis and her husband DeWayne of Roxbury, and his son Jeffrey Ormiston (Patricia) of Grand Gorge; his sisters Darlene Dutko (Michael) of Delhi, Nancy Naughton of East Moriches, Stacey Belanger and her husband Jeff of Salem, Connecticut; grandchildren Reyna Clement and her husband Andrew of East Worcester, Skye Lewis of Roxbury, Brianna Wranovics of Grand Gorge, Jacob Brydon of DeLancey, Cheyenne Liscomb of Grand Gorge, and Sierra Liscomb of Raleigh, North Carolina, his aunt Marie Mead of Schenectady, and many nieces and nephews, his dear friends Steve Williamson (443) of Grand Gorge, Lynn Bradley of Margaretville, and John and Sue Wood of Roxbury.
He was predeceased by his father William St. John Ormiston, mother Irene Decker, ex-wife Natalie Davis, his uncles William York, Robert (Bobby) Decker, his aunts Elizabeth (Betty) Little, Shirley Mead, Beverly Banks, and Mary Lou Moore.
Jeffrey’s wishes were no services or burial; family will convene at a later date for a Celebration of Life.
