The Maywood Depot Historical Group of Sidney Center is preparing for its 33rd season of their popular ice cream socials held every Sunday evening from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. These fundraisers are held at the beautifully renovated Maywood Depot with live music each week from 6 – 8 p.m. On Sunday, May 31, the Maywood Depot welcomes Middleburgh musician Justin Behan for the second ice cream social of the 2026 season.
Attendees can count on a tantalizing array of homemade pies and other desserts topped with a scoop of ice cream. The Depot’s Historical Museum is open as well for people to enjoy the displays of the O. & W. Railroad’s history and other railroad memorabilia as well as an extensive collection of local and regional history.
The public is invited to come and join this down-home fun with friends and neighbors on summer Sunday evenings in this lovely corner of Delaware County.
