Historic Walton businesses on display

Learn about historic Walton businesses at the Walton Historical Society’s booth outside the art building.

The display will feature donated items from businesses like Austin’s Auction, Crawford Feed Mill and Meadowbrook Dairy, among others. Most are businesses that are no longer active, historian Deb Barlett said, but some, like Tony’s Shoe Store, continues to serve Walton today.

“We’re excited to share our history,” Jason Schwartz, president of the Walton Historical Society, said.

The historical society will also have a vintage buckboard buggy on display. Visitors can stop by to pick up the 2023 calendar, new local books or to sign up for a membership. The historical society will be at the fair 10 a.m.–9 p.m. each day.
