The Headwaters Film Series continues Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. with a screening of Disney’s “Encanto” at the Headwaters Arts Center, 66 Main Street, Stamford. The film screening is free and open to everyone. No reservations are required. The center has folding chairs but attendees can bring their own folding chairs or blankets if they prefer. Refreshments will be available to purchase, and donations will be accepted to support these and all programs offered at the Headwaters Arts Center. “Encanto” is the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto.

The film series ends Thursday, March 14 at 7 p.m. with “Schultze Gets the Blues.” Schultze is a retired lignite miner living in an East German village and a passionate Polka musician on his accordion. One night he listens to a Zydeco tune in the radio, which changes his taste of music radically.
