Free mental health education for parents, caregivers

NAMI Basics is a free, six session education program for the parents and caregivers of children and adolescents with mental health conditions. The classes will be held Thursdays from Oct. 6 through Nov. 10, from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 139 West Main Street, Sidney.

NAMI Basics provides:

• Information about mental health conditions;

• The tools to use to make the best decisions for your child;

• Information about local resources.

The program is taught by trained family members with loved ones with mental health conditions and NAMI Basics is an evidence-based program. For more information on the research base for this program, visit nami.org/research.

Classes will be available in person or through ZOOM for COVID safety.
