The Stamford Library, 117 Main Street, will host a Community Wellness Fair Thursday, Sept. 29 from 1 to 5 p.m. bringing together a full host of service organizations and wellness providers from throughout the greater-Stamford area.
The event will combine scheduled presentations, information tables, children’s activities, raffles, light refreshments, interactive demonstrations, and more.
Wellness providers who will be present and available to provide resources and information include the Stamford Wellness Center, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County, Fidelis Care, Tobacco Free Communities, Mountain’s Bounty Massage Therapy, the Catskill Addiction Coalition, Delaware County Office for the Aging, Delaware, Otsego, Schoharie, Oneida, Herkimer, and Madison Counties Cancer Services Program, Delaware County Pride, and more.
Presentations will begin at 1 p.m. and will wrap up at 4 p.m.
Throughout the event, children ages seven and up are invited to join Megan Avery of Hipstitch Academy. She will provides the materials and guidance necessary to create lavender eye pillows. Coloring pages and other hands-on activities will be available for younger children.
The event is free and open to all.
