Delaware County Public Health will host a series of free workshops this spring and summer aimed at residents age 60 and older, focusing on how climate change can affect health and how to prepare for extreme weather and emergencies.

The sessions, held at senior dining centers and community sites across the county, will run during lunch hours from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with the exception of Margaretville, which will begin at 12:30 p.m. during the monthly senior club meeting.

Participants will receive information on reducing health risks linked to climate change and improving emergency preparedness. Free starter emergency kits will be distributed while supplies last.

Schedule of Workshops:

May 13: Hancock Baptist Church, Messenger Hall, 232 Wheeler St.

July 22: Margaretville United Methodist Church, 55 Church St.
