Franklin John Caruso, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at Wilson Hospital with family by his side. He was 66.
Born and raised in Walton, Frank graduated from Walton High School in 1979. He later made his home in Delhi. Frank dedicated many years to DOMO before retiring. He was longtime volunteer fireman and EMT with the Walton Fire Department. Frank served with courage and compassion, and in 2001, he was honored as EMT of the Year.
Frank’s greatest joys came from his family. He is survived by his loving children, Ashley (Brad) and Alex (Marcy), and his treasured grandchildren, Addison and Bradford. He is also survived by his siblings Michael Jr. (Sue), Brian (Deb), Jim, Bill, and Debbie. Frank leaves behind his companion Tracie, her son Tyler Harris, and their grandson Jasen.
He was predeceased by his parents, Michael Sr. and Nellie Mae, his sisters Gloria Jean and Elizabeth, and his brother Bob.
Frank’s circle of friends was wide, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and unwavering love for those around him, Frank leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and service. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Frank’s honor to the Walton Volunteer Fire Department. A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, Aug. 2 at the First Congregational Church in Walton from 3 to 5 p.m.
