WALTON – According to a press release issued by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday, Nov. 12, deputies responded to a fatal two-car collision on state Route 10 in Walton Monday, Nov. 11. Two individuals were trapped in their vehicles and a third had been ejected, the release reported.
Upon their arrival, emergency responders pronounced two Walton residents, Lawrence E. Foster, 48, and Kaelyn M. Foster, 24, dead at the scene. A third individual, Grace M. Bartolillo, 44, of Downsville, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Albany Medical Center.
The Delaware County Sheriff’s Crash Reconstruction Unit worked for several hours following the crash to investigate the scene, which kept Route 10 closed throughout the process.
Assisting at the scene were Walton and New York State Police Walton and Delhi Fire Departments, Walton EMS, Ambulnz, Life Net 7-8, Delaware County Ambulance, Delaware County Emergency Services, and the New York State Department of Transportation. The investigation remains ongoing.
