A new group exhibition centered on the art of drawing will open March 20, inviting visitors to explore how a single line can shape an artist’s vision.

The themed members’ exhibit, “Drawing — Take a Line For a Walk,” will run from Friday, March 20 through Sunday, April 19, featuring works that highlight drawing as both a fundamental skill and a creative process in its own right.

The exhibition takes its title from the well-known description of drawing as “taking a line for a walk,” a phrase often associated with the artist Paul Klee. The show brings together work by gallery members who use line, form and gesture to explore subjects ranging from observation to abstraction.

An opening reception will be held Saturday, March 21, from 3 to 5 p.m., offering visitors an opportunity to meet participating artists and view the work together.

The exhibition will be open to the public during regular gallery hours on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
