Ella Louise Morley

On June 1, 2022, Ella Louise Morley took her last breath surrounded by most of her family.

She was born in Jan. 5, 1939 in Broome Center to Anita and Bernard Bryden.  She grew up on the family farm in Sidney Center and graduated from Sidney Central School in 1957.  In 1956 she met the love of her life, Richard Morley of Walton.  They became husband and wife in July 1958 on a beautiful summer day.  Ella wore a gown lovingly handmade by her mother. After a few years they decided to have a family and had Lisa Mishelle and Brian Scott.  She always said that her children were her greatest blessings.  Richard and Ella also had an honorary son, Andrew Sklenarik.  Family meant the world to Ella.  She was always ready for a family dinner or cookout. Seeing her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren always brought her great joy.  Her cherished memories were always about time spent with her family.  Ella loved welcoming each new grandchild or great-grandchild into the family and was anticipating the arrival of another great-grandson in July.

Ella, also lovingly called Eloise, had a big heart and always looked for the best in everyone.  She was quick to forgive and always was our biggest supporter.  She will be loved and missed by many. The family has so many wonderful memories to hold close.

Ella loved her flowers and always looked forward to the new blossoms every spring and summer.  She loved to travel.  Her and Richard made a few trips to the West Coast and several to the East Coast.  Her day trips with family were days she treasured.

Ella was a proud member of the Friends and Family Church of Sidney Center.  Prior to that she was a lifelong member of the Sidney Center Methodist Church. Her faith in God carried her through her many challenging health issues and helped keep her going.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard, her daughter Lisa and David Hulse and her son Brian and Tara Morley, and honorary son Andrew Sklenarik. She is also survived by her grandchildren Logan (Morgan) Morley, Nicholas (Kimberly) Mayo, Krista Perkins, Miranda (Daniel) Spindler, Brianna Vibert, Taylor (Andrew) Finch, Madison Hulse, Matthew Hulse, MacKenzie Hulse, Katelynne Hulse and Ravenne Dame, as well as 19 great-grandchildren she just adored.  She is also survived by her brother Tracy (Deb) Bryden and her sisters Sharon Pratt and Tami (Steve) Killmeier and brother-in-law John (Janice) Morley.  She also had many cherished nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents and in-laws, her brother and his wife - Bernard and Elaine Bryden and her sister and her husband - Sandra and William Burdick, as well as a grandson - Jeremiah Hulse and nephew Douglas Bryden.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, June 13 at the Covered Bridge Gardens, 1532 Covered Bridge Road in Unadilla.  A service will be at 1 p.m. with a gathering of family and friends immediately afterward until 6 p.m.  All are invited to attend.

Condolences and memories may be shared at www.landersfh.com.
