UHS Delaware Valley Hospital (DVH) has been recognized among the cleanest hospitals in the United States, earning a prestigious 5-star cleanliness rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

This recognition was highlighted in a national list compiled by Becker’s Hospital Review, which identified hospitals across the country achieving a 5-star cleanliness rating based on patient feedback. DVH was one of 396 hospitals nationwide to earn this distinction and among a select group of hospitals in New York State to be included.

The CMS rating is derived from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) survey, a nationally standardized survey that measures patients’ experiences during inpatient hospital stays.

“This recognition is a direct reflection of our team’s unwavering commitment to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for every patient we serve,” said DVH President & CEO Boomer Bojo. “We are especially proud of our Environmental Services team, whose dedication and attention to detail play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness throughout our facility.”

Cleanliness is a key component of the patient experience and an essential factor in overall safety and quality of care. DVH’s inclusion on this national list highlights the organization’s commitment to excellence across all aspects of care and its dedication to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to the community.
