Demolition Derby Results From Monday, Aug. 17

WALTON - Monday night, Aug. 17, the Delaware County Fair saw engines roar and metal collide during the demolition derby, with competitors vying for top honors in multiple heats and categories.

In the 4-cylinder compact class, Nate Dean and Adam Buteau claimed the top two spots. Cameron Scofield was recognized as Mad Dog in the heat.

In the V-8 class, Austin Williams and Korey Bower finished first and second, with Anthony Williams earning the Mad Dog award.

Josh Decker took home first place in the van class, with Jeremy Nafalski placing second and Peyton Barnes earning Mad Dog status.

Derek Boecke and Graham Torres took home first and second place in the 4-cylinder “Chain n’ Bang” heat. Damian Backus was named Mad Dog.

The second 4-cylinder “Chain n’ Bang” heat saw Bailey Wood and Darrin Walley as first and second place finishers, with Trystan Haywood earning Mad Dog status.

Pete Mikos took first place in the 8-cylinder “Chain n’ Bang” heat and Camden Endress placed second. Brian Coyman was named Mad Dog in the heat. 

Special awards

• Cameron Scofield and William McNamara took home the “Best Painted Car” award.

• Cooper Merrill was awarded the Colton Church Memorial Sportsmanship award.

• Mckenzie Backus was awarded the Lilivene Terry Memorial Sportsmanship award
