DELHI - Kellie Sanderson, 45, Delhi, pleaded guilty to one count of third-degree welfare fraud as part of a negotiated plea and sentence agreement in Delaware County Court, Jan. 2.
Sanderson admitted to submitting false applications that failed to disclose income to the Delaware County Department of Social Services in order to qualify for public assistance. Sanderson was paid $9,219 in public benefits that she was not entitled to.
Sanderson is scheduled to be sentenced to five years of probation on March 4 and will be ordered to pay restitution.
