DELHI - Cruz Garcia, 44, was indicted by the Delaware County Grand Jury May 16 and charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment, second-degree attempted assault and criminal obstruction of breathing.
Garcia is accused of attempting to cause physical harm to a victim by strangling her on June 25, 2023 in the town of Middletown, a press release from the district attorney’s office said.
Garcia pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held at the Delaware County Jail on $100 cash bail, where he is being held on unrelated charges.
