The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the 27th annual Delhi 5K bridge run/walk will be held Saturday, June 3 starting at 9 a.m.
Race registration is open at visitdelhiny.com. Preregistration is $25 for adults and $15 for those age 18 and under, and includes a long-sleeved T-shirt. T-shirts are not guaranteed for those that register after May 21.
Preregistered runners can pick up packets and t-shirts on the Delhi Courthouse Square Thursday, June 1 and Friday, June 2 from 4 - 7 p.m. Remaining packets will be available Saturday morning starting at 7:30. Saturday morning pickup is strongly discouraged.
The 5k race starts and finishes in Hoyt Park by the river in the center of the village of Delhi. Parking is available in the county parking lots behind 111 and 99 Main Street. Both parking lots are connected to the park by the river-walk trail for easy access. The award ceremony will be held in the park immediately following the race.
Proceeds from the race will benefit scholarships for two graduating Delaware County seniors and a local charity or school club. More information on the scholarship application can be found on the Delhi Bridge Run Facebook page. The deadline for applications is May 5.
Race sponsors are still being sought and can find more information on the visitny.com website. Any sponsor donating $100 or more will receive one free race registration.
