Congressman Marc Molinaro (NY-19) announced $1,320,145 in federal funding is being allocated to Delaware Opportunities Inc. through the Head Start and Early Head Start programs, administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used to support the Head Start program in Delaware County, which provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to children from low-income families. In Congress, Molinaro has advocated for increased funding for Head Start.
The program, Molinaro said, empowers children and their families. Investing in early childhood education is one of the most important things to put the next generation on a path of success, he said.
