The Delaware County Tourism Advisory Board is now accepting applications for the 2025 Tourism Promotion & Development Grant program. Funding is available to both not-for-profit and for-profit organizations for projects aimed at attracting visitors to Delaware County and strengthening the local tourism industry.
Applications must be hand-delivered to the Delaware County Department of Economic Development or postmarked by 5 p.m. on Feb. 28. Email submissions will not be accepted.
The program is funded through the Delaware County Hotel Occupancy Tax, which was established to provide dedicated resources for promoting and growing the county’s tourism sector and fostering economic growth. Past grant recipients have successfully completed projects such as enhancing signage on hiking trails, renovating historic landmarks, producing local and regional marketing campaigns, creating promotional materials, and supporting artistic, cultural, and community events designed to draw visitors to the county.
For 2025, the grant categories for not-for-profit organizations include:
• Promotion/Marketing up to $5,000
• Community Celebrations, up to $1,200
• Capital Improvements, between $5,000 and $25,000
• Arts & Culture, up to $1,200
• Major Capital Improvements
For-profit businesses may apply for grants under the following categories:
• Code Compliance Assistance, up to $1,000
• Business Cooperative Promotion/Marketing, up to $2,500
• Lodging Business Capital Improvements, up to $10,000
• Eligible applicants are encouraged to submit their projects for consideration and contribute to the continued growth of Delaware County’s tourism industry.
Municipalities, nonprofit corporations and certain not-for-profit entities are eligible for funding. For-profit businesses are no longer eligible to apply under fiscal sponsorship of a municipality or non-profit organization. All grants will be awarded on a competitive basis and will require a minimum 1:1 cash match.
