Delaware County Arts Grant Cycle Opens Oct. 17

ROXBURY — Applications for the 2027 Delaware County Arts Grant program will open Oct. 17, with grants of up to $7,500 available to community organizations, educators and individual artists.

The Roxbury Arts Group administers the Delaware County Arts Grant, a local regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts.

The program provides funding in three categories: Community Arts, Creative Learning and Individual Artist.

Community Arts grants support arts and cultural projects organized by community-based organizations, groups, collectives and artists. Awards range from $1,500 to $7,500.

Creative Learning grants support skills-based arts education programs at Delaware County public schools, after-school programs and community centers. Awards range from $1,500 to $7,500.

Individual Artist grants provide commissioning support for practicing artists creating a new series or collection of work in a community setting. Awards range from $1,500 to $5,000.

The grant program is intended to expand access to arts programming throughout Delaware County, support creative opportunities for residents of all ages and backgrounds, and encourage projects representing the county’s cultural communities.

Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. Jan. 23, 2027.

Applicants are required to attend an information session before applying. Sessions will be offered in person and online beginning in September.

In-person sessions are scheduled for:

Oct. 17 at noon at ArtUp, 746 Main Street, Unit 4, Margaretville

Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. at Headwaters, 66 Main Street, Stamford

Nov. 21 at 3 p.m. at Bushel Collective, 106 Main Street, Delhi

Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. at Bright Hill Press, 94 Church Street, Treadwell

Jan. 9 at noon at William B. Ogden Library, 42 Gardiner Place, Walton

Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. at Roxbury Art Center, 5025 Vega Mountain Road, Roxbury

Online Zoom sessions are scheduled for Sept. 22, Sept. 30, Oct. 8, Oct. 21, Oct. 28, Nov. 7, Nov. 12, Nov. 17, Dec. 4, Dec. 11, Dec. 16, Jan. 5, Jan. 8 and Jan. 16. Session times range from noon to 6 p.m.

The Nov. 7 session will focus specifically on the Individual Artist category, while the Dec. 16 session will provide a review of the application format. Registration is required for Zoom sessions.
