Delaware Academy program on internet safety

Posted

Parenting through the digital age can be overwhelming, and to provide families and the community a resource to help understand and navigate some of the issues, Delaware Academy will host nationally-known speaker Katie Greer this month. Greer is known for her work on internet safety policy, and has been widely featured in national media. Her approach to internet safety realistically considers the appeal of technology for people of all ages, which she’ll share in a series of presentations to students and the community, exploring tools and strategies to help kids navigate technology in a safe and productive way.

The public presentation will be Thursday, Nov. 16, from 7 – 8 p.m. in the high school auditorium, and includes a question and answer time. It is free and open to the public.

On Friday, Nov. 17, she will speak to students in the elementary, middle and high schools in separate sessions tailored to those age groups.
