DCHA Awards of Merit Nov. 6

Presentation to Focus on WWII Plane Crashes in the Catskills

The annual meeting of the Delaware County Historical Association (DCHA) will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2022. The meeting will begin at 2pm in the large gallery at DCHA with the presentation of DCHA’s annual Awards of Merit to those groups and individuals who have volunteered their time and skills to preserve and/or present the history of Delaware County.

This year, the following individuals and groups will be recognized for their achievements:

• Gary Williams, Hobart Historical Society

• Diane Galusha. Historical Society of Middletown

• Franklin Railroad and Community Museum

DCHA is proud to honor these people and organizations who have contributed so much to the preservation and understanding of our county’s fascinating history. A short business meeting will follow the Awards of Merit presentation.

The general public is also invited to join us at 2:45 p.m. to hear local author and historian Samantha Misa give an illustrated presentation on airplane crashes in the Catskills during World War II.
