The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,000 of its newest alumni during the University’s 2026 commencement. Approximately 3,800 undergraduate degrees and 900 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during the ceremonies which took place May 15-17. Myah Johnston of Roxbury was among the graduates, receiving a bachelor of arts, psychology.
The University at Albany is welcoming more than 3,500 students to make up the class of 2030, the largest first-year class in UAlbany’s history. The incoming class was selected from more than 36,000 applications and represents a 20% increase in first-year enrollment compared with last year. Students in the class of 2030 come from 40 states and 35 countries, bringing a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to UAlbany. Among this year’s incoming class: Deon Taylor of Sidney; Riley Furman of Delancey; Autumn Mattice of Walton; Grace Hull of Arkville; Priscilla Scala of Delhi; Tehya Colao of Downsville; Ericka Brie of Walton; Blake Albano of Roxbury; John Gallagher of Walton; Skyelee Kauffman of East Branch; Anthony Conroy of Sidney Center; Griffin Jackson of Walton; Avery Backus of Sidney; Rosalind Gatto of Sidney; Leland Schultz of Sidney; Nicholas Arnold of Long Eddy; Myah Johnston of Roxbury; Bailee Herrel of Arkville, Ashley Komosinski of Delhi, and Jordan Macak of Franklin.
