Three students from Delaware County were named to the 2023 spring dean’s list at Alfred State College. Students have earned dean’s list honors for their academic success during the spring 2023 semester. Shania Bosley, Margaretville, Digital Media and Animation; Garrett Fitch, Delhi, Surveying & Geomatics Engineering Technology James Olson, Stamford Central School Electrical Construction & Maintenance Electrician.

The following local students earned awards at Hartwick College’s Honor’s Convocation May 3: Riley Gancio of Walton was awarded the Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellowship in Psychology. Fellows are selected by the faculty to recognize outstanding achievement. They serve as student assistants in their major department and receive a tuition credit. Luisa Siniscalchi of Sidney Center was awarded the Andrew B. Saxton Undergraduate Fellowship in Sociology. Fellows are selected by the Hartwick faculty to recognize outstanding achievement. They serve as student assistants in their major department and receive a tuition credit.

Bloomville resident Griffin Dianich has been named to Husson University’s dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester. During the spring semester, Dianich was enrolled in Husson’s Bachelor of Science in exercise science/doctor of physical therapy (DPT) program.

SUNY Oneonta students that completed the requirements for a bachelor’s degree following the Fall 2023 semester were honored and recognized during ceremonies Saturday, May 20, in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. Local students who graduated include: Sophia Biagini of Bloomville, Robert Fisher of Delhi, Olivia Hyzer of Franklin, Mandy LeVeille of Franklin, Victoria M. Marin of Fleischmanns, Jose Mirabal of Walton, Molly Sherman of Sidney Center, Samantha Spina of Davenport. 

More than 400 students were named to the spring 2023 dean’s list at Russell Sage College including Marannda Barnes of Sidney and Ella Taylor of South Kortright.

SUNY New Paltz announces its dean’s list for the spring 2023 semester, a recognition for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load. Included were Hannah Gray of Sidney, Eret Kollig of Delhi, and Michaela Lynch of Stamford.

Sarah Wake of Delhi was named to the president’s list at The State University of New York at Potsdam. Wake, whose major is literature/writing, was among 716 SUNY Potsdam students who were honored for academic excellence in the spring 2023 semester. 

SUNY Canton recognizes Morgan L. Downin of Franklin for earning part-time honors during the spring 2023 semester. Downin is a SUNY Canton Homeland Security major.

Brandon D. MacPherson of Sidney earned a spot on the SUNY Canton dean’s list during the spring 2023 semester. MacPherson is a SUNY Canton Emergency Management major.

SUNY Canton President Zvi Szafran recognizes students for earning a spot on the spring 2023 president’s list. To earn a spot on the president’s list, full-time students must earn a 3.75 or greater GPA during a single semester. Included are Velga V. Kundzins, a SUNY Canton Legal Studies major from Grand Gorge and Shannon K. Connelly from Walton, a SUNY Canton Early Childhood Care and Management major.
