The Catskill Mountain Club will offer a series of free, member-led hikes in the Catskill Mountains in late August and September.
The 22-year-old nonprofit organizes hiking, paddling and biking adventures and advocates for nonmotorized outdoor recreation throughout the Catskills.
Upcoming hikes include:
• Saturday, Aug. 29, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Windham High Peak and Burnt Knob
• Sunday, Aug. 30, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Sugarloaf and Twin mountains
• Wednesday, Sept. 2, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Vly and Bearpen, Halcott
• Saturday, Sept. 5, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.: Blackhead, Black Dome and Thomas Cole mountains
• Sunday, Sept. 6, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Big Indian, Eagle and Haynes mountains
• Monday, Sept. 7, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Shingle Gully and Vernooy Falls
• Wednesday, Sept. 9, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Dry Brook Ridge
• Saturday, Sept. 12, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: Balsam, Eagle, Fir and Big Indian mountains
• Sunday, Sept. 13, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.: Slide, Wittenberg and Cornell mountains
