Call for Artists: The 42nd annual Jericho Arts Council Fine Arts Show opens April 27 and will run through May 4. The gallery committee is accepting applications from artists to enter their art. There are four categories of original artwork including oil and acrylic, watercolor and gouache, drawing and graphics [which include mixed media, pastel and printmaking] and new this year, three dimensional art. Photographers are encouraged to enter their work in the JAC fall photography show.
There will be monetary awards in each of the four categories along with a Tennant Realism Award, a Best in Show and a People’s Choice. The committee will accept preregistered entries with a discounted fee until April 15, or artists may register and deliver r art on drop-off/registration days: Monday, April 22, from 10 a .m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday, April 23 from 4-7 p.m.

Exhibit hours will be Saturday April 27 from 1-4, 6-9 p.m.; Sunday, noon-3 p.m.; Monday through Friday, 1-7 p.m. Saturday, May 4, the gallery will open at noon for the closing reception with awards at 1 p.m.
