Bookmobile to begin monthly stop in Sidney Center

Posted

The Four County Library System Bookmobile will begin a new stop in Sidney Center in April. The Bookmobile is a mobile library, with new and popular fiction, nonfiction, and large print materials available for borrowing, as well as a selection of audiobooks and movies. Signing up for a library card is free, and there are no fines for overdue materials.

The Sidney Center Improvement Group (SCIG) helped advocate and organize to make this service possible in their community. Board member Carol Behan said book and library lovers of Sidney Center look forward to the return of library services to the hamlet. The 4CLS’s Bookmobile will receive a warm welcome on April 18th. More information about SCIG and its activities can be found on Facebook.

The Bookmobile will make its first stop Tuesday, April 18, 9-9:30 a.m., at the Sidney Center Fire Station, corner of Routes 23 and 35. Monthly visits will occur at the same time and location on the following Tuesdays: May 16, June 20, July 18, August 22, Sept. 19, Oct. 24, Nov. 21, and Dec. 19.

Bring a face mask, or you can use one supplied by the Bookmobile.

Everyone is welcome to visit the Bookmobile and borrow materials. For more information, contact Sarah Reid at sreid@4cls.org.
