Bassett remembrance service Feb. 29

Posted

Bassett Healthcare Network will hold a remembrance service for parents, families, and caregivers who have lost pregnancies or children Thursday, Feb. 29, at 7 p.m.  While any loss of a loved one causes grief, grieving a lost child can be especially profound and long-lasting. Losing a pregnancy can bring grief that is painfully invisible to others. These griefs also naturally weigh heavily on caregivers - both supporting friends and family and healthcare professionals.

Anyone wishing to remember a child or process their grief is welcome. The service will be held in-person at Clark Auditorium at Bassett Medical Center, 1 Atwell Road, Cooperstown.

There is a virtual attendance option via Zoom: bassett.org/memorial

RSVP by Monday, Feb. 26, by email gerald.paciello@bassett.org for in person attendance.

Whether attending in-person or virtually, attendees are invited to send in ahead of time the names of those they have lost to be read aloud during the candlelighting ceremony.
