Anne “Nancy” D. Tubridy

Anne “Nancy” D. Tubridy, 88, of Walton passed away on Feb. 6, 2025, at the Roscoe Nursing Home, Roscoe.

Anne was born on Oct. 11, 1936, in Port Henry, the daughter of the late James Deyo and Anne Matochik. On May 14, 1960, she married the late Joseph M. Tubridy who passed on Dec. 21, 2014.

Anne had a love of books and embraced many different genres. Her family and her local library fueled her appetite for reading materials.

She was employed for over 30 years at Freehold Area Hospital, Freehold, NJ, as a Registered nurse. Her specialty was serving in the obstetrics unit, aiding newborns and their parents.

Anne is survived by her son, Michael and daughter in-law Andrea of Freehold, NJ; her grandchildren, Kelly, Shannon, and Erin, her brother-in-law, Martin (Marlane) of Weston, CT; many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by her cousin Carol, who was an immense help as Anne’s health was declining.

She was predeceased by her parents; James Deyo and Anne Matochik, husband Joseph, her sister and brother-in-law Marion and Edward MacDuff, her sister-in-law Ann Fee (Matthew), Catherine Barra (Walter) and brother n law John Tubridy (Catherine). Also predeceasing Anne were several nephews, James MacDuff, Francis Tubridy and James Barra, and her niece Lynn MacDuff

A memorial mass will be held at a later date, as will her internment in St. Patrick’s cemetery in Port Henry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Walton Food Bank, or the Walton Fire Department.
