Amy Lorraine Kilmer of Hamden passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on May 7, 2025. Amy was born in Walton on March 25, 1949 to Robert and Alice MacRabie. She loved to crochet, play cards, and do crossword puzzles, but her passion was caring for her children, grandchildren, and finally, great-grandchildren.

Amy worked hard alongside her husband on the family dairy farm. She was a 4-H leader for the County Cousins for over 20 years, and was patient and kind when teaching kids to sew and bake. She was a local and district public presentation judge for over a decade, and always looked forward to fair week. When she judged clothing, achievement books, and baked goods, she truly loved giving blue ribbons. Amy’s gifts to family and friends were usually something amazing from her kitchen, including pies, cookies, and peanut brittle.

Amy is survived by the love of her life for 56 years, Lynn Kilmer, her children; Andrew (Jessica), Aaron (Deirdre), Rebecca (Joel) Bates, Deborah (Brinton) Muller, her grandchildren; Brandi, Lorlyn, Justice, Chelsey, Tesika, Ariah, Mason, and great-grandchildren; Colton, Jillian, and Maren. Amy is also survived by her brothers; David (Dee), Alfred MacRabie, sister Barbara Pellicier, two special brother-in-laws, Ken (Penny) Prestige, Marty(Loretta) Foster and loving family friend Sarah Gibbons. Amy was predeceased by her parents, and her siblings William. Aldon, John and Jean MacRabie.

Celebration of life will be held Sunday, May 18 from noon-4 p.m. at the Hamden Town Hall, 37029 NY-10. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Delhi EMS. A special thank you to Helios Hospice Care Oneonta.
