Visitors arriving at the Delaware County Fair can take home a little piece of patriotic spirit this year.
American flags will be available free of charge at the fair gates each day throughout fair week. Fair organizers originally planned to distribute more, but due to a nationwide flag shortage - due to America 250 celebrations to honor the signing of the Declaration of Independence - the supply was reduced.
A total of 3,000 flags will be available for visitors who would like one.
Whether displayed at home, carried proudly around the fairgrounds or saved as a keepsake, the flags offer visitors a chance to celebrate the community spirit and tradition that are part of the Delaware County Fair.
