DOWNSVILLE — More than 100 children too part in a cherished local tradition on Saturday, April 19: the annual Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the Downsville Girl Scouts and the Colchester Chamber of Commerce.
Now in its 30th year, the event drew 101 children, who eagerly dashed across school grounds in search of brightly colored eggs — each one a small symbol of spring and community spirit.
Adding to the excitement were 109 Easter baskets, generously donated by local businesses and residents. Some were brimming with candy, others with toys or crafts, and all were handed out to delighted participants.
