Delaware County 4-Hers will hold a livestock auction at the Delaware County Fair, Saturday, Aug. 17 at 2 p.m. in the livestock show ring. 4-H animals are a source of top quality meat. Consider splitting the meat into halves, quarters or thirds to share the cost with family or friends. For example, a pig purchased for $300 could be divided into thirds and shared with three individuals, making the cost $100 each before processing fees.
Shippers will be on standby to deliver animals to the purchasers’ processor of choice.

Proceeds from the sale of 4-H project animals typically goes toward future animal projects, school supplies and other expenses.
