On July 12, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Officers teamed up with the New York State Department of Transportation Motor Carrier Enforcement Unit to conduct a commercial vehicle enforcement detail focused on heavy duty diesel vehicle emissions, the transportation of solid waste, and vehicle and traffic laws. During the detail along the state Route 28 corridor near Margaretville, the two agencies observed 29 violations and put three commercial vehicles out of service for non-compliance.
