Assemblyman Joseph Angelino announced the launch of a $200 million seed fund grant program targeted at helping small businesses recover after the COVID-19 pandemic. It provides grants to early- stage micro and small businesses impacted by the pandemic to help them grow. Information and access to the application portal can be found at nyseedgrant.com
Angelino said opening a small business is hard and challenging work at any time, but it is especially difficult during a pandemic. For newer small and micro businesses, new businesses in his district are encouraged to look into eligibility and apply.
The program is in addition to the $800 million Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program which has helped more than 35,000 small businesses with roughly $639 million since it began last year.
