MARGARETVILLE - The Margaretville Rotary Club, which supports a wide range of educational endeavors in the area, recently completed its annual fundraising raffle, with more than 15 local businesses donating gift certificates totaling more than $500 worth of goods and merchandise.
Because of the effort, the club was able to send two Margaretville Central School students to the annual RYLA conference and one student to the annual Boy’s State program. Rotary has also supported the educational initiatives of the Catskill Water Discovery Center in Arkville.
Businesses that supported the effort include Brushland, Wayside Cider, Dana’s Place, Margaretville Bowling Alley, Margaretville Hospital Thrift Store, TAs, Skip‘s Barbershop, Russell’s General Store, Margaretville Liquor Store, Goatie, White’s, Peabody’s Pet Shop, Catskill Recreation Center and Dragonfly.
