William “Kelly” Bowker, 62, of Framingham, Mass. and Walton, died comfortably on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, after a brief battle with COVID-19.

Kelly graduated from Walton Central High School in 1976 where he excelled in football, wrestling and FFA.

After high school Kelly worked at Kraft Breakstones for almost 20 years before taking a job with Union Local 88 digging tunnels in Boston. Most recently he was employed by Pro-tech Solar Energy as a site supervisor building Solar Farms throughout the northeast.

Kelly dedicated his life to his family and friends, spending his free time visiting and traveling to see them. He was most happy doing anything that involved family, especially at the family’s hunting cabin and spoiling his grandchildren.

Kelly is survived by his companion of more than 20 years, Cindy Mahoney; children Kenknee (Evan) Bowker, Kris (Patti) Bowker, Korey (Kylee) Bowker, Kasey (Victoria) Bowker, and Courtney Mahoney; grandchildren Trista (Kal), Taylor (Elizabeth), Carter, Dawson, Kimber, and Hadlee Bowker, and great-grandchildren Dana and Lydia. He is also survived by siblings Pam Howland, Dan (Jean) Bowker, James (Linda) Bowker, Roger (Debbie) Bowker, Deb (Rich) Goodrich and Shawn (Terry) Hitt, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Kelly was pre-deceased by his parents Orson “Chub” Bowker  and Barbara O’Hara Bowker and a brother-in-law, Theron Howland. His sister, Ona Henderson, died Jan. 16, 2021.

A celebration of Kelly’s life will be held on Friday, May 21, with calling hours from 9:30-11 a.m. at the New Hope Church, Stockton Avenue in Walton, followed by a service with guidance from Paster Larry and burial immediately following at the Walton cemetery - to which friends and family are all invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Kelly’s name to the Barbara Bowker Irrevocable Trust to support continuous family use of the cabin by donating to this GoFundMe page: https://gofund.me/73cc72fd.
