At the CCE sponsored Walton Farmers’ Market on Veterans’ Plaza Friday, July 15, a local trio called Tributary, comprised of Kathy Shimberg, Ed Haher, and Dane Scudder will be playing traditional, old-time tunes on fiddles, banjos, keyboard and guitar. The music event will run from 12 noon to 2 p.m., although the market itself is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This music series is being offered by the Grant Rogers Project, a collaboration between the William B. Ogden Library and Music on the Delaware, in an effort to give listeners a taste of Delaware County’s rich music traditions. For more information on the Grant Rogers Project, see www.grantrogers.org. The market music series is financially supported by a tourism grant from the Delaware County Local Development Corporation and donations from the Walton Chamber of Commerce and anonymous donors.
