Sharon Lee Smith, 60, of Sedona, Ariz., went to her heavenly home with the Lord on March 25, 2022.
Sharon was born on July 25, 1961 in Buffalo, the firstborn child of Dr. William and MaryAnn (Cooley) Smith.
Sharon was a 1979 graduate of Walton Central School. She then attended the University of Rochester where she received a bachelor’s degree in 1983, before going on to Syracuse University where she received a master’s degree in social work (MSW). She went on to be employed for many years with the State of Arizona Department of Social Services.
Sharon is survived by her husband Paul Martin, her son Jahmaia Williams of Cottonwood, Ariz., her father Dr. William Smith, Walton, brothers Timothy Smith of Walton, David (Lynn) Smith of Buffalo, Jonathan (Nikki) Smith of Appleton, Wis., and Matthew (Beth Ann) Smith of Dover, Mass.
She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Ann Smith and stepmother, Alice (Campbell) Smith.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m. at the United Presbyterian Church, 58 East Street, Walton, with Pastor Paul Huh officiating.
A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall of the church.
