Seneschal to perform at Walton Farmers Market July 8

Posted

Walton Farmers’ Market will welcome musician Bill Seneschal Friday, July 8 from noon to 2 p.m. as the second performer in the Grant Rogers’Project-sponsored “Market Music” series.

Seneschal will perform a selection of folk and country songs on guitar and five-string banjo. He has been playing and singing folk and country music since the 1960s, having been influenced by such groups as the Kingston Trio and the Limelighters as well as popular country musicians. Bill has performed as a soloist and member of several ensembles over the years, playing a blend of country, bluegrass, folk, blues, old rock n’ roll, and some pop. He particularly enjoys performing with his friend Don Gilkinson and recalls fondly the time Grant Rogers joined one of their early gigs.

The CCE sponsored Walton Farmers’ Market is open every Friday, July 1 through September from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and music is offered from July 1 through Sept. 2. Musicians will include fiddlers, dance bands, players of traditional Irish and old-time music, and singer/songwriters. The series is made possible with a tourism grant from the Delaware County Local Development Corporation and the support of the Walton Chamber of Commerce and several anonymous donors.
