OTSEGO COUNTY - The Otsego County Department of Health reported its second death from COVID-19 on Wednesday.

They gave no details on who or where the patient was.

The county has 35 confirmed cases, five of which require hospitalization. Twelve people have recovered, while 94 people are in mandatory quarantine.

The first virus death in the county was a 63 year old Morris woman.

After a nine case jump on Monday, Delaware County has seen a sharp decline, with only one new case Tuesday and no new cases reported Wednesday. The total, according to county officials, is still 42, but that includes five cases that the Department of Public Health Services says were never in the county to begin with. The number of cases actually in the county, then, is 37. Seven people have been discharged and are considered recovered, six are still hospitalized. 23 people are isolating at home and 36 are in mandatory quarantine.

One person has died. Two people are in precautionary quarantine.
