Sandra E. Cook, 71, of Deposit, passed away unexpectedly at Baypoint Regional Hospital in Spring Hill, Fla., on Jan. 25.

Sandra was the daughter of the late Frank Nichols and Hazel Gardepe both of Trout Creek.

Sandra was predeceased by her husband, Mark, in 1999.

Sandra is survived by her two children, Crystal Hartz (Craig) and Chad Cook (Ginger); two granddaughters Kassi (Brandon) Macumber and Kerri Cook; two great-grandchildren who were the shine in her eyes: Kendall and Granger Macumber; three brothers Wilbur (Stub) Nichols and John Nichols, Trout Creek; Cindy (Owen) Madison, Indiana; William (Liam) Dyer, Alaska; and Hayley Matthews, Montana.

Sandra was exceptional at everything she did, especially the special dinners she made for her friends at Forest Lake Campground where she spent her summers. She was not afraid of any challenge put in front of her. She put A LOT of things before herself. You could call her anytime for anything at whatever time and she was always willing to help.

Her career ranged from waitressing to administrative assistant for Schaffer’s Enterprises of Deposit.

Everybody knew her as SANDRA but we got to have her as our MOTHER.

To pay your respects, a viewing will be held at the Christ Episcopal Church of Deposit on March 12 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. A service will follow at 2 p.m. with a luncheon to follow at the church.
