Sally Ann Bojo, 75, of Fishs Eddy, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends on Sept. 30, 2024, after a long illness.
Sally was born on Jan. 30,1 949 to Norman and Marjorie Emerich of Fishs Eddy. Sally married Rolland Bojo Sr on April 30, 1966. Sally graduated from Hancock Central School in 1966.
Sally was predeceased by both of her parents, as well as her siblings Neil (Sharon) Emerich, Duane (Shirley) Emerich, Arliss (Deloris) Emerich, Craig (Charlotte) Emerich and Faye Emerich-Felter; brothers-in-law Gary Brock, F. Thomas Robinson and Brian Felter Sr.; and sister-in-law Dianne Bojo.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Rolland of Fishs Eddy, son Boomer (Laura) Bojo of Fishs Eddy, daughter Tara (Dave) Rubera of Fishs Eddy, granddaughter Paige (Steven) Mootz of Fishs Eddy, grandson Blaise (Madison) Bojo of Fishs Eddy, grandson Cullen (Kaitlyn) Bojo of Starlight, Pennsylvania, and grandson Noah Rubera of Fishs Eddy; great-grandchildren Madeline, Lylian and Hayven Mootz, and Logan DiLullo. She is also survived by her brother-s-in-law Francis Bojo, Richard (Julie) Bojo, and Millard Felter; sisters-in-law Judy Felter, Faye Brock, Ruth Robinson and Sarah (Greg) Sherburne, as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was a “Nana” to everyone she knew, especially the kids on South Main Street.
Sally was a homemaker and a self-employed cleaner for many years. She was also a longtime member of the East Branch Community Church.
Sally was the first person to help anyone in need, a trait she passed on to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Henderson Biedekapp Funeral Home, Hancock, from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Funeral services will be on Friday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. at the East Branch Community Church, with burial to follow at the Bojo Family Cemetery. A gathering will be held following the burial at the Hancock Fireman’s Club Rooms.
