Robert (Bob) Dandignac passed away on Oct. 25, 2021, at the Delhi Rehabilitation Center in Delhi.

Bob was born Feb. 12. 1931, in Queens. As a child, Bob and his family moved to Treadwell in the 1940s where they purchased a farm on Turnpike Road.

Bob graduated from Treadwell school. He worked for Benedix/Amphenol in Sidney as a machinist for over 20 years from which he retired. Bob lived in Unadilla during that time, where he kept a tidy property. He took a lot of pride in mowing his lawn. His major hobby was golfing at the Oneonta Country Club. In the evenings, Bob took pleasure in playing solitaire on his Mac computer. He was a member of the Elks Club in Oneonta where he enjoyed playing cards. He wasn’t much of a cook, so he ate out frequently at local restaurants in the Oneonta area. His favorites were Morey’s Restaurant and Jay’s Place - he loved Jay’s pork chops. Bob also enjoyed decades of family gatherings in Delhi at his brother Ralph’s (Phyllis) house along with dinners, holiday parties, and barbecues at his niece Sandy (Dan) Mokay’s house. Bob vacationed to Florida during his retirement to visit his sister Ginny and to golf.

Bob was predeceased by both his parents Edward and Viola Dandignac, his older brother Eddie Jr. and his nephew Steven.

He is survived by his siblings Ginny Scott of Florida, Ralph (Phyllis) Dandignac of Delhi, and numerous nieces and nephews.

At this time there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to your local animal shelter. Bob always enjoyed his family’s dogs and neighborhood cats.
