DELHI – Another new case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Delaware County Sunday, as the region completed its first weekend of partial business openings.

There are a total of nine cases currently in the county, and three of those people remain hospitalized.

In his daily press conference, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced new tests sites are opening up around the state, including at CVS pharmacies. There are already testing sites in both Delhi and Oneonta, and anyone employed in a phase one business is encouraged to be tested. The state health department website now has a page to help New Yorkers find a testing site. https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/home

In a dramatic gesture to encourage people to get tested, the governor was tested live during the press briefing.

He also said there are a total of 120 children who are being treated for an illness that appears to be related to the virus.

There are 120 kids,” he said. “I don't believe it. I believe it's a syndrome we're just discovering. I think the numbers are going to be much, much higher.”

There are fifteen other states and five other countries reporting children with symptoms consistent with the virus-related illness.
