Paul R. Moody, 92, of Hamden, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Fox Hospital Nursing Home in Oneonta following a brief illness.
Born June 6, 1927 in Delhi, he was a son of the late William W. and Anna McGordy Moody.
On June 7, 1953, Paul married his beloved wife Ann Stewart Moody. They were married for 65 years until her passing on June 20, 2018.
Paul was a dairy farmer his whole life, owning and operating Springdale Farm for many years. He was a member of the Hamden Senior Citizens, Delaware County Jersey Cattle Club and the American Jersey Association. Paul was also a longtime member of Plymouth Church.
Survivors include his children, William S. (Patsy) Moody of Hamden, Robert P. (Lisa) of Walton, Phillip M. (Annmarie) of Oneonta, and Amy (Lynn) Buchanan of Fort Mill, S.C.; grandchildren, Meghan, Marianne, Andy, Trevor, Kylee, Matthew, Alexandra, William and Liam; and great-grandchildren, Marc, Jon, P.J., Madalyn, Hadlee and Carter.
Paul is predeceased by his beloved wife Ann Moody; son David L. Moody; sister Eleanor Tweedie; grandson Jeff Moody and his parents William and Anna Moody.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 28, from 12-2 p.m. at the Plymouth Church, 6033 County Highway 21, Walton. A service to celebrate Paul’s life will follow at 2 at the church with Pastor Bob Wilke officiating. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Delhi.
